Still you hide behind the rift

That’s your prerogative
I know artistic types are sensitive
The saddest thing about it is I doubt you’ll ever see
How unevolved it was to make a villain out of me

So I lied to spare your feelings
When you butchered our song
I apologized
I admitted that was wrong
You’d rather hold a grudge than give a friend who cared a pass
The day they talked about this stuff
You must have missed that class
Either way it’s pretty clear
Wrath and anger so severe
Sent that email so sincere
No point reaching out next year
